דֵּיתֶא, דֵּיהֶהm. (preced.; cmp. form and meaning of כֵּהֶה) faint, feeble, dim; light in substance, thin. Neg. I, 2 של סיד דֵּיהָה הימנה the red within the lime-colored leprosy is fainter than the latter, opp. עז; Tosef. ib. I, 3 דּוֹהֶא. Tosef.Nidd.III, 11 ד׳ מכאן if fainter than this (shoe-black), opp. עמוק; Nidd.II, 7; 20a ד׳ טכן. Ib. ד׳ דד׳ extremely faint. Gitt.57a דיהה טן האור Ar. (ed. דוחה, read דּוֹהָה, fr. דָּהָה) gets faint from the effect of the heat. Yeb.80b; Tosef. ib. X, 6 שכבת זרעו דוחה his semen is watery, opp. מקושר cohesive; Tosef.Zabim II, 4 דוהה; Nidd.35b.Y.B. Bath.VIII, 16a bot. wherever the word מורשה (heirloom) is used, לשין דיהא it is a faint (vague) expression (not meant in its true sense as a real inheritance). Ib. (ref. to Deut. 33:4) לית ד׳ סיגיןוכ׳ there is none vaguer than this (morashah), for whosoever labors (studies), obtains the whole of it.Pl. f. דֵּיהוֹת Y.Ter.III, 42b top ענבים ד׳ the juice of grapes is light in substance (in-cohesive).
